To reduce the wear rate of tubing, small diameter rods and rod couplings, large-volume rod centralizers are used, which center the rod string inside the tubing and take on the main contact mechanical loads at the bends.
In addition, centralizers are used to simultaneously remove deposits of paraffins, resins, asphaltenes on the surface of the tubing.
