Installing an RFID tag on a pump rod, together with the use of stationary or portable readers and the corresponding software, allows the consumer to set up automatic recording of the tool's operating time, save the results of flaw detection, as well as the real history of the operation of each pump rod. With this data, it is possible to predict the failure of the pump rod with great accuracy and carry out repairs in advance.
